Q. How do I prepare for my move?
A. Your belongings should be boxed, labeled and ready to go by the time the movers arrive. Ask us about our Professional Packing Services. Should you opt to do your own packing, we'll be glad to provide you with personalized packing tips. For your convenience, Ivy League carries a full line of boxes and packing supplies.

Q. Can I leave clothes in my dresser?
A. Yes. You can leave your clothes in dresser drawers. Please remove all clothes from dressers having doors.

Q. Does Ivy League use shrink wrap and padding for furniture?
A. Yes. We pad and/or shrink wrap all furniture at no extra charge.

Q. How many movers will I need on my move?
A. It varies--from 2 movers for a small apartment move--up to 5 movers for a large home.

Q. Is Ivy League Moving Services licensed and insured?
A. Yes we are insured, licensed and regulated by the GA Public Service Commission.

Q. Does Ivy League handle long distance/interstate moves?
A. Yes, we are licensed for long-distance moving. The advantage of hiring Ivy League for your long distance or interstate move (vs. a larger carrier) is the fact that we take full door to door responsibility for your move. Larger companies frequently operate on a week long window, using sub-contracted drivers.

Q. Are your movers full-time employees?
A. Yes. We never use temporary or day labor.

Q. Is a tip required for my movers?
A. Tips are optional. If your crew does a great job, a tip is appropriate.

Q. What type of payment does Ivy League accept?
A. Cash, personal check or certified funds due upon completion of the move.

Q. What if it rains on the day of my move?
A. We will still proceed with your move. You may expect slight delays due to the extra caution taken by the movers.

Q. Will the use of an elevator affect the cost of my move?
A. Yes, the size, speed and location of the elevator in relation to your residence can greatly affect the time it takes to complete your move. Please reserve the elevator to expedite your move.

Q. Does Ivy League move pool tables and weight machines?
A. We use a professional 3rd party contractor to disassemble, move and re-assemble pool tables at an additional charge. Our crew will move most exercise equipment.

Q. Does Ivy League offer storage and what's the cost?
A. Yes, we offer secure, climate controlled monitored storage at reasonable rates. Please call or email us for a quote.

Q. What are my insurance options?
A. All of our customers receive FREE Replacement Value insurance included with the move.

Q. Can Ivy League move my plants?
A. Ivy League will move most plants providing the move is no greater than 50 miles. However, we cannot guarantee their survival. Plants can require a lot of truck space. Should you have more than 5 plants, you may consider transporting them in your vehicle. Our crew will be glad to help you load or unload your plants into your personal vehicle.
